Kat von D Shade + light contour palette
I picked this baby up completely impulsively. I was on a mission to find a new badass bronzer ad somehow ended with three.
The Shade + Light palette is nothing new to the market and is so well loved my so many artists. It is a successor to the oh so successful cream palette and it offers such a nice range of warm and cool bronzers so that anyone can find a shade that suites them.
You will find the following contour shades:
– spice – cool taupe,
– woodland – neutral soft brown,
– chestnut – warm deep brown
If none of them is quite ok – just mix them. Same goes for the lighter face powders:
– parchment is super light and pink toned,
– banana is yellow toned and
– bisque has very dominant peach tones.
Each of them suites a different purpose for colour correction to suit your needs.
I find both formulas, bronzers and powders, so very smooth. They blend like a warm banana smoothie and especially the powders leave no clumps and do not hang onto dry patches. They actually act like a smooth veil over your skin and set everything in.
The only downside I see to this palette – if you are really fair, these shades may be too dark for you.
The palette claims to have 24 hour wear, to be velvety, non greasy, blendable, suitable for all skin types and of course cruelty free and vegan.
Although Im not sure who wears their makeup for 24 hours, I can confirm that this palette is really long-wearing.
