The Thirsty Island

Winter getaway on Meeru Resort and Spa, Maldives

For the most part I will let the photographs speak for themselves in this post. But before I let you do that, I owe this paradise on earth a few words.

My first time visit to Maldives Meeru Island Resort and Spa was in late October of 2018 and on my third day, with my feet still in the water, I wrote an email and booked it again. Yes, I loved it that much.

I was here again in January and February of 2019 and the perfection of this island was not a coincidence.

Everything, from the warm welcome when you arrive at the island, to smooth and painless check-in is amazing. The accommodation is recently renovated and up-kept to the tee. Twice per day. Not only rooms, but also the surroundings. The food is exceptional. You can truly find something for yourself even if you are not the biggest fan eastern cuisine. The staff take note and react to any suggestions you might have. One thing I am very touchy about is how the staff is treated and the general policies regarding wellbeing is. Here, you can see on the faces of staff, that they are well taken care of. I will gladly support that kind of business.

Most of all, i fell in love qith the vegetation here. Pure, primitive fauna that strokes your eyeballs.

When you take a barefoot walk through the vast reception area you will notice many awards recieved by The Meeru Resort and Spa and their staff. Unquestionably and without a doubt, well deserved.

Now go ahead, scroll through. 🙂

xoxo, Alex
